CAPROCK is a consulting firm specializing in physical security assessment and analysis as well as security systems design, engineering and procurement assistance services. CAPROCK is not affiliated with security system vendors, security component manufacturers, guard service companies or other security industry service providers. As such, CAPROCK works solely in the best interests of its clients with no allegiances to third-party products or services.
CAPROCK offers the following security consulting services:
· Security assessment audits, including vulnerability analysis, risk mitigation and security technology audits;
· Security master planning;
· Security systems design, planning and documentation;
· Security vendor and proposal evaluation;
· Project management and construction / installation support; and
· Security standards and best practices development.
CAPROCK is based in Dallas, Texas and offers its services worldwide. We have assisted clients in many different industries across the United States and in several foreign countries in their security needs. CAPROCK’s founder, Ken George, brings over 25 years of security industry experience from multiple industry perspectives, including consulting, systems integration, and product manufacturing. He is a Board-Certified Protection Professional and holds undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics as well as a masters degree in Telecommunications.
As a licensed engineering firm (Texas #F-17952), CAPROCK’s unique value proposition involves our ability to bring an engineering approach to traditional principles and practices of security. We produce all of our project documentation in standard Autodesk and Microsoft products. We maintain an internal computer-aided design (CAD) department for production of technical drawings compatible with drawings from the customer or architect.
Throughout the world, the Certified Protection Professional (CPP™) designation is acknowledged as the security profession’s highest recognition of practitioners. It is evidence that an individual is “Board Certified in Security Management.” The CPP™ is awarded based upon experience, education, and of an examination that provides an objective measure of an individual’s broad-based knowledge and competency in security management. Ongoing professional development is required in order to maintain the credential. The CPP™ is administered by ASIS International, the preeminent international organization for security professionals, with more than 35,000 members worldwide.
The Physical Security Professional (PSP®) designation is evidence that an individual is “Board Certified in Physical Security.” It is awarded based upon experience and passing of an examination that provides objective measure of an individual’s broad-based knowledge and competency in physical security.
